Lawns come in all shapes and sizes, so here's a few handy tips to help you work out how much soil and lawn you're going to need.

How to calculate and measure how much soil and lawn you'll
need to cover your lawn area, including irregular shapes.
- 00:09-00:13 Area of a rectangle: multiply length by width: (A)x(B)
- 00:14-00:20 Area of a circle: multiply the radius by itself and the by 3.14:
(A) x (A) x (3.14) - 00:21-00:26 Area of a triangle: multiply the height by the base and divide it by 2:
(A) x (B)/ 2 - 00:27-00:30 1 cubic meter/per 10 sq. m
- For irregularly shaped area, break them into parts, measure each and then add them all up. Add 5-10% excess on your order of Sir Walter Turf for contingencies.
