Common Lawn Problems

If you're having trouble with your lawn, checkout these quick tests to diagnose your problem.

1. Most lawn problems are either from the follwoing:
   A) Poor soil condition
   B) Low or no fertilizer
   C) Lack of water
2. 00:19-00:40 Before contacting your supplier, fertilise your lawn with 40 g per sq meter with Sir Walter Fertiliser or similar and water it until the lawn becomes soft. Repeat deep watering once/week for 6 weeks, always pick a small area (about 1 sq. m and apply twice the amount of fertiliser and water this area as a benchmark.
3. Follow these steps:
   1. Fertiliser 40 gm/1m2
   2. Deep watering for 6 weeks
   3. Check lawn near water source
   4. Check lawn near other plants
   5. Ensure 100 mm good turf base/soil
   6. Top dressing may be required.
